RK Records/Management is a company that's
dedicated to their artists
with a goal to develop,
create, and polish their artists to the fullest of
their ability. In that way, they could deal with any
adversity on stage, in the studio, or just in general
life.

We hire the best choreographers, vocal coaches, song writers, and producers in the industry today. We built a complete team around all of our artists!

RK Records/Management was started in 1997 by Jay Pugh, who was born in Jamaica, Queens, New York, where the love of his music all started with a rap group called “The Sons of Kurtist Blow,” who later turned into Run DMC. Jay has spent the last 15 years developing his skills as a producer, writer, vocal arranger, artist, and actor. He has worked on over 17 movie sound tracks, 35 movie commercials, and has produce over 100 acts. Jay has worked with acts such as Run DMC, LL Cool J, Beastie Boys, Eric B. and Rakim, EPMD, Slick Rick, MC Hammer, Too $hort, Tone Loc, Boy Wonder, Cheba B, Project X, Above the Law, LA Dream Team, Cris Cross, R&B artist Michael Jackson, Prince, Morris Day, Tevin Campbell, Affinity, Calico, Karen White, 14 Karrot Soul, Pussy Cat Dolls, top ten finalist Anastasia McPherson, and runner up Milissa Reyes. He discovered and managed High School Musical star and Hollywood records star Vanessa Hudgens in a Blockbuster video store, where he built a pop group called Bittersweet around her before she went to Hollywood records.

Jay is currently putting his magic on a new 17-year-old pop R&B group called Bittersweet, 21-year-old rapper and R&B artist Kris Jordan, and 21-year-old-female rapper named Nikki.

Jay has also dipped his hands in the movie industry, partnering up with suspense films and movies. Films like Doomsday Kiss, A Time to Die, Plutonium Murders, Mike's Kids, Album Cover, Fade to Black, and Hustle and Flow (just to name a few) are a part of his resume. His television credits include Krush Kroove, Tougher Than Leather, Club Life, Fridays, and many more, so stay tuned to RK Records at www.myspace.com/gmasterjay and www.rkrecords.biz. Remember, music calms the most savage beast.

In 2004, Jay teamed up with Mimi McNeil, who heads RK Records/Management as Lead Coordinator/Manager. Mimi's background consists of numerous feature films and television productions, some of which include, The Jeffersons, What's Happening, Maude, Shirley and Laverne, Dragons Strike Back, Fame (the television series), Clan of the Cave Bear, and the blockbuster, Bob Marley—The Last Known Interview. She has worked with various stars, such as Debbie Allen. Also, she is one of the original members of the world famous dance group, "The Soul Train Gang," with whom she got the opportunity to travel for over two years throughout the United States, sharing her dance talent. She sang background vocals for various artists, such as The Whispers, and Shalimar of Solar Records, just to name a few. Jay and Mimi and Mia are now the executives of RK Records/Management, in which they are challenged daily with the talents of the 2007-L.V.M.A. (Las Vegas Music Awards) Best Pop R&B Female Group, Bittersweet R3, which features Kelli Rochelle, Noora Hadden, and Emmie Kivell.
